There have been many recent news articles reporting the fact that jobs are being drained away by overseas companies. The same news articles also show that employers are pushing their employees harder to squeeze more value out of a nervous work force. It is estimated that millions of tech jobs and high paying jobs will be lost in the coming decade. Analysts are beginning to realize that most of these jobs will NEVER return.

Because of these trends, many people spend more time using the same old methods of job seeking or waste years of their lives trying to find a quick way to riches. I have been one of those people spending decades chasing those illusive high paying jobs, work from home jobs or the perfect job opportunity. However, during my job seeking efforts, I learned that there are four basic levels of making income:

1. Employee - trading time for cheap money under someone else's rule (e.g., blue-collar, white-collar tech jobs & high paying jobs).

2. Self employed - high risk, trading time for money under your own rules, but strapped to doing everything on the job yourself. This could be contractors, consultants and many work at home jobs.

3. Business system owner - leveraging the time and efforts of other people to earn income for you.

4. Business investor - leveraging business owner's time and effort to earn income for you through the use of your money.

These four levels are outlined in a book called Cashflow Quadrant which was written by the best selling author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Each of these four items involve job seeking skills, but from four different perspectives.

The business system and business investor levels have the most security, independence and freedom.

Do you want to be stuck in the subservient employee way of thinking for the rest of your life (like you would in typical tech jobs or high paying jobs)? If not, you may want to be thinking about how to obtain a job opportunity where you can learn the skills of becoming an independent business system owner. One of the best ways to learn these skills is on a part-time basis while you are working a full-time job.

Notice that I said business system owner rather than just business owner. A business system is a highly organized, proven business structure, not a high-risk, pie-in-the-sky idea. A business system owner could be someone who owns a franchise or someone who owns an automated, micro-franchise, work at home job like a network marketing business.

There are many so-called high paying jobs and tech jobs and work from home jobs, but the best job opportunity is one that will actually train and mentor you to become a business system owner!

I'm sure you know (if you are job seeking for an employee position) that whatever company hires you is only going to mentor you to submit to the management above you to serve whatever their needs are... Either do what we say or be fired or laid-off. Is this really what you would call a satisfying and exciting job opportunity?
